Biografia

Valentina Giannini is a Tenure Track Assistant Professor (RTT) in Industrial, Management, and Economics Engineering at Universitas Mercatorum. Previously (from 2022 to July 2025), Valentina Giannini was an Assistant Professor (RTD-A) in Industrial, Management, and Economics Engineering at the Università Politecnica delle Marche. She holds a Ph.D. in Applied Economics from the same university, with a thesis on resource allocation mechanisms and innovative performance in business groups.

Her research focuses on business group organization and innovation, SME innovation, multi-unit firm localization strategies, and innovation procurement. She has collaborated with Duke University's Fuqua School of Business and participated in projects like PRIN-PNRR and HORIZON 2020.

Valentina has published in several international journals and is involved in teaching at the bachelor's, master's, and Ph.D. levels. She is also a member of the editorial board of “Economia Marche – Journal of Applied Economics”. From 2022, she is also a Research Associate at IRCrES (CNR), and a member of the Scientific Secretary of SIEPI.
