1st Edition | Online Master's in Economic Policy and Governance for Development and Resilience

Universitas Mercatorum, in collaboration with United Nations University – CRIS, is pleased to launch the 1st edition of the Online First-Level Master’s Degree in Economic Policy and Governance for Development and Resilience—an advanced international programme designed to tackle the most pressing economic and social challenges of our time.
Entirely taught in English, the Master’s programme will be delivered online through live, synchronous sessions.
Applications will open on August 1, 2025.
This programme is designed to offer a solid interdisciplinary foundation in economics, governance, and public policy, with a strong focus on social transformation and sustainable development.
A Master’s Programme to Shape Agents of Change
The Master’s objective is to train professionals capable of operating effectively in complex, global environments—including governmental bodies, international organisations, NGOs, the private sector, and research institutions. The curriculum blends theory and practice through:
Core courses in economics and governance
An innovative Policy Lab, where students will design practical solutions to real-world policy issues
The opportunity to specialise in one of the following areas:
Data-driven Analysis for Policy
Economics and Governance of Innovation and New Technologies
Inclusive Economic and Human Development
Multi-level Governance of Global Challenges
Flexible Learning and Global Access
Courses will begin in October and will be delivered through Universitas Mercatorum’s digital platform, available 24/7. The platform offers live video lectures*, learning materials, and reading lists. Students are required to attend at least 80% of the activities and submit a final thesis.
Diploma of "Master Universitario di I° Livello" - This is a level 7 European Qualifications Framework course. This course, following the art. 3 of DM 270/2004 don't give access to superior level of education (PhD courses), in Italy.
Applications Open Until September 30, 2025.
The total tuition fee is €3,500 (€3,450 + €50 stamp duty), payable in three instalments.
The programme will commence once a minimum of 50 enrolled students is reached. Universitas Mercatorum reserves the right to activate the Master’s programme with a smaller cohort.
