Daniela D'Auria
RttBiografia
Daniela D’Auria received the Laurea degree in Biomedical Engineering and the Ph.D. degree in Computer and Automation Engineering from the University of Naples Federico II, Italy. She is currently a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor (RTT) in Information Processing Systems (SSD IINF-05/A) at the Department of Engineering and Sciences, Universitas Mercatorum. Previously, she was an Assistant Professor at the University of Milano-Bicocca and at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano. In 2026, she obtained the Italian National Scientific Qualification (ASN) for Associate Professor in both Information Processing Systems (SSD IINF-05/A) and Computer Science (SSD INFO-01/A). Her research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Medical Informatics and Digital Health, Medical Robotics, Telemedicine, Human-Computer Interaction, Semantic Computing, Computer Vision, and Intelligent Systems. She served as Chair of the IEEE Technical Committee on Semantic Computing from 2022 to 2025 and received the IEEE Best Leadership Award in 2022.
