Biografia

La Prof.ssa Molka Gharbaoui ha conseguito il titolo di dottore di ricerca in tecnologie innovative per l'ingegneria dell'informazione e della comunicazione e la robotica – Telecomunicazioni, presso la Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, Pisa nel 2012. Dal 2012 al 2026 ha svolto attività di ricerca come ricercatrice presso il Consorzio Nazionale Interuniversitario per le Telecomunicazioni (CNIT, dal 2017 al 2020) e come assegnista di ricerca (dal 2012 al 2020) poi ricercatrice RTD-A (dal 2022 al 2026) presso la Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna. Da Maggio 2026 è professoressa associata in Sistemi di Elaborazione delle Informazioni presso il dipartimento Ingegneria e Scienze dell’Universitas Mercatorum. Svolge attività di ricerca nei settori delle telecomunicazioni, delle reti software-defined, delle infrastrutture cloud/edge e delle applicazioni ICT per telemedicina ed eHealth. È autrice di numerose pubblicazioni scientifiche internazionali.

Le Principali aree di ricerca in ambito accademico riguardano:

La piè recente attività di ricerca della Prof.ssa Gharbaoui si focalizza su aspetti che riguardano la progettazione, la gestione e l’ottimizzazione della rete, la valutazione delle prestazioni delle reti di telecomunicazioni, soprattutto negli ambiti delle reti definite via software (SDN), la virtualizzazione delle funzioni di rete (NFV) e l’ottimizzazione e l’automazione della rete tramite il networking basato sugli intenti (IBN). Gli studi effettuati sono stati spesso caratterizzati da una rilevante attività sperimentale. Attualmente, la Prof.ssa stà considerando anche altre emergenti tematiche come la telemedicina e l’eHealth.
